How I Practice

Therapy sessions are held in my own private therapy room, which is fully wheelchair friendly.  Please contact me for a short discussion before booking an initial free consultation and assessment session.

Sessions are one hour and ideally we meet on the same day at the same time. After the initial session I will ask you to commit to 8 sessions, at which time we review the work we have done together. I offer short and long term counselling and psychotherapy. The ending of therapy is an important process and will be negotiated and agreed on together.

I use a range of modalities in my work ; as well as core process psychotherapy which is a gentle, experiential approach encompassing our thought processes, emotions, sensations and their expression in the body. It is non-judgemental and inclusive and aims to bring awareness to the conscious and unconscious aspects of our being. Core process psychotherapy is rooted in the Buddhist understanding of personality and consciousness. It is integrated with current western psychotherapeutic theory and practice. I also use solution focused therapy skills, cognitive behavioural therapy skills, art, mindfulness and meditation.

I have had many years of experience working with a variety of issues : Stress, Anger, Anxiety, panic, Depression, Abuse, Trauma, Relationship difficulties, Couples, Loss and Grief, Debt, Transpersonal Growth.

I offer you time, space, empathy, a safe place, compassion and healing.
